- The Abused Persons Program. The Abused Persons Program provides crisis counseling (ongoing), shelter, support and advocacy services to individuals experiencing domestic violence and their families. To be eligible for this program, the applicant must be a victim of domestic violence who lives in Montgomery County, Maryland.
- The Montgomery County Crisis Center. The Crisis Center provides free crisis services to all ages, 24-hours a day, 365-days a year. Their services are provided in-person and by phone. They provide full crisis assessments and treatment referrals for all cases, both psychiatric and situational. To be eligible for this program, individuals must be a resident of Montgomery County and must provide proof of residency photo identification. Services are provided in English, Spanish, Farsi and Mandarin.
- The Montgomery County, Maryland Family Justice Center. The Family Justice Center provides coordinated advocacy, government and legal services to individuals experiencing domestic violence and their children. Anybody who is experiencing or has experienced domestic violence is eligible to receive services. Their services are free and can be provided in any language. These services include, but are not limited to: Counseling (also available for children who witness domestic violence), Career Counseling, Basic Needs Services (food, shelter, clothes, etc.), Legal Advice and Representation and many more.
- The House of Ruth. The House of Ruth Maryland aims to end violence against women and their children by providing individuals with the services necessary to rebuild their lives safely and free of fear. Their services include, but are not limited to: 24-hour hotline, Emergency Shelter (for women & children in imminent danger), Legal Clinic services, Abuse Intervention and Individual / Group Counseling.
